These folks seldom find themselves in the position of committing crimes, being arrested, charged, convicted and sent to jail - even if they have engaged in criminal behavior. On the other hand, the adherents of non-christian faiths are the disaffected of our society. As members of fringe religions, and not in the mainstream, they are looked down on and discriminated against. Outcasts, if you will.
